  23. Indeed, I tend to agree.

  25. The Zip might be slower but I'm far happer having the media scattered all
  26. over my desk unlike the suspect SyQuest media. There's also the matter of
  27. disk changing. It takes ages with SyQuests and it's practically like
  28. floppies on the Zip. Zip for me amen.

  30. Interesting thread on AFS there. I use it myself with no hassles. The lack
  31. of decent recovery tools is somewhat of a problem but when I've had crashes
  32. and AFS partitions corrupted, I was always able to copy the material off
  33. without any other aid.

  35. For me the speed (and lack of slow head thrashing on slow access drives like
  36. the Zip) coupled with cool features like built-in undelete and rollover
  37. log-files (how DID I live without them) make AFS almost indespensible.

  39. However, it's not for everyone. Just like the MUI debate, I really wish
  40. people would just either use it or not and stop trying to convince everyone
  41. else it's (A) Gods gift to computing or (B) Satan Spawn and thoust duty to
  42. rid the universe of thyne scourge.
